Nieuwe Amerikareis in 2011 !

Na eerdere succesvolle reizen organiseert Edith in samenwerking met het Friendship Gospel Choir in Baarn een nieuwe tour naar Amerika van 25 maart t/m 1 april 2011, met als bestemming New York !

Tijdens deze reis wordt er met en voor Amerikaanse Black Gospel koren gezongen. Alle leden van het Dutch Combined Mass Choir en mensen die mee hebben gedaan/mee doen met een workshop van Edith kunnen mee.

Muzikale ondersteuning tijdens een bruiloft.

Deze wordt verzorgd  door The Rainbow Gospel Singers en kan naast de pianist ook worden aangepast met meerdere muzikanten.

Vaak worden The Rainbow Gospel Singers gevraagd tijdens een huwelijks inzegening maar ook tijdens een burgerlijk huwelijk.

Naast de muzikale ondersteuning tijdens een bruiloft kan tevens gezorgd worden voor een buitengewoon ambtenaar van de burgerlijke stand. Deze ambtenaar, mevrouw Hanna Lieman, past zeer goed bij het geheel en is ook bekend met genoemde groep.

Tevens kan tijdens receptie en/of feest voor een band worden gezorgd. Deze professionele band is met alle stijlen bekend van Salsa, Jazz tot cover muziek.

I have worked in this profession for about 25 years. Black gospel music is traditionally from the North American Deep South, coming out of the cotton fields, where it was the only way the slaves could communicate. It continues to be sung every week in what people used to call ‘black’ churches and now call African-American churches.

Black Gospel has become enormously popular in the Netherlands over the last few years.
Every musical style can be found in Gospel music: jazz, blues, rock, funk and reggae. It is mainly sung with lots of instrumental accompanyment and also now and then ‘a capella’, from subdued to very exuberant, from solos to large groups.

At this moment I lead five choirs in the Netherlands: Friendship Gospel Choir in Baarn, Life Line Gospel Choir in Katwijk, Alive Gospel Choir in Nieuwegein, Statement Gospel Choir in Heemskerk and Tribute Gospel Choir in Zutphen. Together they form the Dutch Combined Mass Choir.
Next to that I have a group, The Rainbow Gospel Singers, a selection of about 25 singers and soloists. I also give workshops in- and outside the Netherlands. You can read more about this on the page Activities.
